icehouse-signKeith and Kathy Malinowski opened the Ice House during the summer of 1980. The original building was built in the 1950’s by the Bartlett Family. The scoop room was the refitted pilot house of an old tugboat. Trees felled in a local hurricane provided most of the other lumber for the building.

We rebuilt in the late fall of 2002. We tried our best to keep the rustic look and feel of the original building. We added a convenient waiting room and indoor bathrooms, while making everything else a bit bigger. We take great pride in our homemade food, striving to provide the best quality and quantity. We have an extensive menu so that we can satisfy everyone from the seafood lovers to the grilled cheese connoisseurs. You should be sure to save room for the delicious ice cream and homemade desserts.

Little did Keith and Kathy know that they would still be running the restaurant for 40 years and counting. Today you can find 4 generations of Malinowskis working together!
